Movie (DVD) edited

The Final DVD release had to have been edited to remove a few scenes. NOt to be a 'T-n-A' fanatic, but from an artistic standpoint: 2 scenes where Meg Ryan is topless has been removed from the movie, in its' latest DVD release.

Is it that Meg Ryan now has a 'no nudity' clause that is retro-active to all movies she ever made?

I also find that some of Bev's character is removed with these edits, as in the fact that in one of these edits she again uses the phrase "Sh-t Too!" which is central to her character - wild, free, fearless.

I really find that when I watch a movie, and then go back in a few years to watch it again though a rental, and find it has been edited for content - ruins the movie.

Wow, I am glad I read your comment. I was just now looking around the Internet to purchase the dvd, and am now going to give up that search. I also read some comments about how depressing the movie is, and I had forgotten about that, too. So, I've changed my mind about buying it.
