HI LOVE A DVD OF THIS GREAT FILM MYSELF ANYONE KNOW WHEN IT IS GONNA B RELEASED

reply

You would think a 20th Anniversary Edition would be released this year.

Well, hopefully next year, this can released. I really want to see this.

reply

I AGREE IT IS A CLASSIC HORROR FILM,,YOU WOULD ALSO THINK WITH MORTTINSON GETTING AN OSCAR NOMINATION FOR BEST ACTOR,,THEY WOULD RELEASE ALL HIS FILMS,,THIS ONE IS GREAT

reply

everyday when i check DVDtalk, some idiotic cult horror film from the 1970s and 1980s is getting released, whether by small DVD companies or major ones. I think this should get some sort of official DVD release with an anamorphic transfer, and it needs to be remastered even a little bit.

but for a film of this caliber, they would release it anamorphically, but be the crappiest transfer in history. I wish Anchor Bay, MGM, or Lions Gate would get their hands on this.

I SO AGREE KEEP ME POSTED WILL DO THE SAME HERE

There IS one, it's been released in the last month or so on the Optimum label in the UK... AND it's widescreen.

reply

Got it!

Good anamorphic transfer incl trailer.

Wish they had used the image of the backlit Chair & ghostly figure/hands on the DVD cover (as per original UK poster). The Skull/Prison design looks really cheap.

This and Scarecrows are two classic 80s horror movies..

I saw this movie when it first came out on video in the UK years ago. Hadn't seen it since but I recently ordered the DVD. It's still pretty good. The transfer is decent and at least there's a trailer.

Ok so i know im a bit late on this topic but i need help. I want to buy a copy and i dont know which i should go with.

1) AWE from Diabolik-dvd- Im hearing good and bad things. This one however is anamorphic widescreen but i read somewhere that its a DVD-R
2)Optimum is on Amazon in the Uk- Sounds ok but no extras
3) Scandanavian release on ebay- Theres a guy selling copies on ebay and it looks like the pic is stock but i think it says Studio S on the bottom right corner

If anyone has any suggestions, i'm all ears. Thanks.
