certain movies where you just feel like the talent in front of and behind the camera is moonlighting from porn? I know Findlay directed her share of porn; checking on cast members I only found one with porn titles on their resume, but that's just imbd, which can be incomplete (and they might well have done X films under other names). But anyway, there's just something about the quality of bad acting, the routinely competent but styleless craftsmanship, and other things I can't quite put my finger on that somehow give away porn talent on a brief "mainstream" genre vacation. Anybody else ever get that feeling watching certain direct to video B or C-grade flicks, esp. from the '80s?

No, I think you're mostly just seeing the director's talents here in likening this to 80s porn. Except for the one mentioned, I don't think the others had porn experience but the director obviously has a certain style that would make one think of a porn film.

I agree with the OP. Actually, as I'm watching a flick like that one, I often find myself wondering how the producers resisted releasing (after shooting) three different versions of that work. Heck, for only a couple more hundred bucks of film and one day's more shooting (and a modicum of editing and no more scriptwriting), they could have also created an actual 45' porno film version and then also a 45' gay porno version. Why didn't they? Obviously not due to art nor morality. Hmm. Maybe they did?

Yes, no offense to the people who starred in this but I really don't think acting is their calling. I'm sure they're talented at something else and hope they found happiness doing something they are good at, though.
