Worst

It is by far one of the worst movie I've ever seen. It is ruining the validity of the Police Academy movie franchise. There should never be sequels at all; I enjoyed and was amused by the first Police Academy movie. Since then, it has gotten to be worst with the fifth absolutely the worst ever.

I'm sorry mate, but I'd have to disagree with you. I'm not saying that Police Academy 5 is one of the best movies I've ever seen, but I do think it's one of the best PA movies ever made, which, as you are probably saying to yourself right now: - 'that doesn't take much'.

reply

This was easily one of my favorite Police Academy movies, and it was also an improvement over #4.

they are cheesy movies, but i love 'em. well, maybe not the mission to moscow...that was admittedly pretty bad. but for just a cornball 3am movie to watch, its great. of course i don't take it seriously, b/c it isn't meant to be taken seriously!

i'd take these movies over MTV or any sort of reality tv today.

-are you serious? fuzzy wuzzy was a woman?

reply

I agree as well. The police academy movies aren't meant to win Academy Awards by any means. They are fun movies to watch when they happen to come on HBO and you have nothing else to do. They're good for a few laughs.

Personally, This is one of my favorite Police Academy movies. I thought it was pretty funny and sure as hell is better than some of the movies out today.

Okay, I'll break it down like this: One, Two, and Three were very exceptional comedys. Four was not nearly as good but redeems itself with a young Tony Hawk. I haven't seen Five and Six since childhood but remember them as aweful especially without Steve Guttenburg (what the hell happened to him, anyway?) I never saw seven but heard that it was, really, really, really, really bad. They should have stopped at Thrre.

reply

Strange for me Police Academy 4 was one of my favorite sequel. It was darker but had a good soundtrack. The on-screen chemistry between Bobcat (zed) and Kazurinsky (Sweetchuck)

Police Academy 4 clearly missed Guttenberg

I still gave this movie a 10 because i enjoy all the police academy movies. I wanted to raise it from the abysmal reviews it got. It's a very good comedy. Just not as good due to the abscense of Gutttenbeg, Zed and Sweetchunck

I've never seen this film, so I can't comment. However you may like to know that I was at a charity jumble sale the other day, and I found a copy of PA5 on one stall. Not only was it free to the first taker, but someone had tucked a five pound note inside the sleeve. And still no one wanted it.

I'm not joking either.

I've seen this happen in other peoples lives and now it's happening in mine.

It was better than #3 for sure

modern movies are the ones you should call worst, at least this is still old school and they will always be the classics

the only bad thing is when the white lady during the self defence explanation only talked about martial arts that were ALL japanese thats so racist, not all asians are japanese

whats worse is all that effort bruce lee tried to show his pride in kungfu and chinese culture went out the window and that was his life long goal back then

p.s the scene where hooks yells at a group of people and they fall into the pool was lame, some jumped into the pool on purpose, yes its a comedy but sometimes if something is too fake you can't avoid the "bad acting" tag

Yeah, the fifth one was really stretching it, especially the bit where the bags get switched. I don't think anybody involved thought, "Now, wait. That seems to obvious. Let's try something different."

reply

I think this the best after the first.

just watched 1-5 in a marathon(without the benefit of drugs). Five is the absolute worst. Keep in mind I have not seen 6 or 7 yet. Best? In order?
1, 3, 4, 2.........five kis an awful flaming piece of dung. Harris and Proctor are the STARS? Nuff said.

Son, you can't polish a turd

reply

6 and 7 were absolute crap compared to 5

If you think Tony Soprano died, you're overanalyzing the ending and creating your own script.

i think the goofy sound effects just hurts the movie, i remember they used alot of that in the last one, mission to moscow, now titled as 7, but i remember it didn't use to have a number on it, then there was the series where some actors from the movies, or atleast one, who i think even had a reoccurring part appeared, wasn't there about a decade ago talk about another movie, now i think much of the main cast have passed away at an early age and the women perhaps have ruined themselves with plastic surgery.

dont know what port in storm,
without you to hold on to,
if you go down the road,
i'm left in dreamland alone,
as reality is gone,
if i can't find another muse,
the end of the journey cause the road you choose.
