LUCKY STAR

I saw this movie years ago and I loved it then, but the song has been embedded in my mind all these years. Lucky Star. On the credits it says her name is Shea Adamson who sings the acappella version, JD Souther sings the full version. I've always loved her voice and I can not find anything more about her. I would love to hear if anyone else has any info on her or the soundtrack of the movie?

Thanks

JD Souther once sang with Don Henley. Pretty well, too.

I really like permanent record because of the message it's sending and I can Identify with david and the pressure he felt and confusion of not having the answers while being caught in the middle of the transitional war. From boy to man, from highschool to the world outside of that bubble and the internal war that takes place. You know you against yourself. Man vs Man.
But I really loved it because of that song Lucky Star (Leaning Out the window of my car). It was really beautiful and you feel the emotion everybody in that audience was experiencing.

So funny. I have been racking my brain over this movie and that song at the end. I saw it about 13 or 14 years ago and have been thinking about it all day today. I'm going to rent the movie tonight!

Thanks for the link. I was in high school when this movie can out. I loved it. I saw it originally for Keanu Reeves because I loved the movie Rivers Edge. But this movie really touched me and I never get tired of watching it. I love how there is a community of people here who love it since it sort of came and went in the theaters. The acting is outstanding and the movie is completely underrated. It makes me teary every time. It is one of the few "smart" teenage flicks. Not that I didn't love the brat pack flicks in their day, but all comedy aside, this movie really gets it.

JD Souther is a guy...he just has kind of a high voice. He worked with the Eagles a lot, and co-wrote a bunch of songs with them. His best known solo song I can think of is "When You're Only Lonely".
