(Spoiler) Wouldn't the new family..

buying the house have a home inspection? It's a rustic old fixer upper in the woods near the lake(the house). It's incredulous to believe that Valerie Harper's character(a loan officer) would skip that part of the home buying process.

Put it this way, if you were buying a house, wouldn't you check out the foundation? I know that MOST people would. The bodies in the basement would be discovered.

Terrible hole in the plot.

Corbin's character is uneven as well. 1st he's the kind old man & then he's a complete raving psychopath.
