AKA 'Return to 1988'

That was the title of it as a VHS rental in Sweden. Sometimes they have a tendency here to "translate" English or American movie titles to other titles in English. :-/

After "Dirty Dancing" they called some Patrick Swayze movie "Dirty Fighting" here, and there was some joke about it was nice they didn´t rename "Ghost" into "Dirty Dying".

"The producers" by Mel Brooks was called "Det våras för Hitler" here, the translation of the title of the play they set up in the movie, "Springtime for Hitler". After that they became really silly calling every Mel Brooks movie "Det våras för...", i e "Springtime for..." this or that.

On a similar note, "Foul play" with Goldie Hawn was called "Tjejen som visste för mycket", "The girl who knew too much" since it so clearly spoofed "The man who knew too much". With that movie becoming such a hit in Sweden, every movie with Goldie Hawn for many years got titles starting with "Tjejen som...", i e "The girl who..."

Another really lame example was when the Gene Wilder/Richard Pryor movie "See no evil, hear no evil" was called "Hör upp, blindstyre", meaning about "Listen up, you blind fool". The next movie with Wilder and Pryor, "Another you", which had nothing to do with the previous one storywise, was called "Se upp igen, blindstyre" - meaning about "Look out again, you blind fool".

At points like that those responsible are just plain stupid...
