I couldn't make out what the answer was that the tattoo artist said to the others when they asked her why she was leaving. I thought it might be something about "arms" (and she was holding an artificial arm at the time.)

Does anyone know what she said?

"My name is Paikea Apirana, and I come from a long line of chiefs stretching all the way back to the Whale Rider."

I believe she said: "Too much harmony!"

Yes, FilmNutgm has given you the right answer. Friends and I love to use that sentence out of context at any given occasion, especially when there's an upcoming row in the air :-)
