Different versions?

I have seen this movie dozens of times throughout my childhood and into adulthood and I know it pretty well. It's been a while since I have seen the movie, so the other night I popped my DVD in to watch and I noticed some things are different from how I remembered them as a kid. It makes me wonder if there are different cuts of the film? For example, as a kid I remember the bear making more vocalizations than he does in my DVD version. Some of his noises were definitely taken out. There were also a few scenes that seemed like they had been chopped, like the frog dream scene. I clearly remember the dream being longer, seeing more frogs hopping around, eventually several jump into a pool of water. In the version I have now, most of that was cut out. There are other examples too, but those are the ones that really stood out. Makes me wonder why they made these changes and if I could find the alternate version that I grew up with!
