I wonder how long Jack and Peggy dated before they got married

Well, Jack was one freaking hot rancher and Peggy wasn't all that bad looking. So why not!?!?

Here's what I think happened.

Since she appeared to be a huge gold digger and maybe she did love Jack, she had a spoiled rotten son, whom Jack was annoyed with. Right before Jack got on his plane to go fetch the kids and stop them from going any further on the bus, Jack and his former girlfriend had a huge fight because she didn't want anything, not even kids without a home, to come between them. They got into a huge fight and Jack eventually told her to leave. She left, but not before screaming at him. Her son was just as upset and called Jack some bad names. Afte Jack and Peggy got married, Jack's former girlfriend and her son weren't ready to let Jack go, so they stalked Jack, Peggy and the kids and threatened them. Jack had them arrested, but they made bail that night and were released. The former girlfriend and her son continued to stalk Jack and the family, and they continued to have them arrested. Finally, the former GF snapped and tried to kill peggy, but was unsuccesful because Peggy fought back and got away. The girlfriend was arrested and is still in prison for attempted murder, since she got 20 years to life. Her son, who had nothing to do with the attempted murder, was put in foster care, but eventually adopted by Jack, after he sent Jack a heartfelt letter saying how sorry he was for his bad behavior and that he was miserable. He went to live with Jack, Peggy and the kids and became a big brother to the kids and a son to Jack and Peggy. He had nothing to do with his mom for years because of what she did to their family, but eventually made peace with her in 1995. They now maintain as close a relationship as possible since she's in prison. She too sent a letter of apology to Jack and Peggy for what she did and they tried to have her released from prison, but with no success. She could get out sometime in 2011 or 2012.
