THE KILLER... (incredibly minor spoilers)

Anybody else disappointed by the killer's identity? I felt it was pretty obvious from the get-go due to the lack of suspects on-screen. I liked this flick but when the whodunit of a whodunit is a let down, the entire movie suffers for it. I was hoping it was David Alan Grier after faking his own death. He's a crafty son of a gun.
Oh, and what a stupid motivation of the killings. -sigh-

I didn't pay attention to the lame plot, the movie was great besides that, dafoes acting is awesome, the crazy colonel in the chinnok, keith david scenes, flowers at khe sahn, and all the great music!

I often wonder if the killer also killed Rogers when he was at the airbase hospital. He looked fine to me in the Sapper attack aftermath but I've always found it confusing how he ended up dead.

"Microchanges in air density, my a$$....."

Yeah, I also thought it was obvious who the killer was and it's a big flaw in an otherwise excellent film.

I thought Fred Ward's smarmy performance gave it away as much as anything. Had he played the role a little more earnestly it might have been less obvious although not hard to guess just based on the small number of actors.

I thought the subplot involving the nun was kind of a waste. The plot and "twist" such as it was would have worked better with a serious and earnest performance by Ward and the nun plot replaced with exposure to more bent officers to advance the senior officer as killer angle more credibly.

Yeah, he kills prostitutes because he wasn't made a colonel? Huh?

I'm happiest...in the saddle.

It was the way he was treated that set him off.

Spoiler alert for them spoil sports out there! Y'all like spoiled milk, stop crying over it!

I liked the movie but I figured who the killer was as soon as he appeared on screen.
