Did this caused the fire?

In the movie before the film caught fire, Alfredo did so the movie could be watched outside at a house wall. When he opens the hatch you see the lens slightly moves back abit. Could that have made the lens too close to the film so it overheated or was it just bad luck?

An interresting thing about the movie shown on the house wall is that its wrong mirrored. The left side is on wrong side. Strange.

I,ve read that nitrat movies could catch fire if heated more than 45 celsius.
