I find it wierd why this movie is clasified as vampire movie as there was no mention of it in the oiginal and the only reference in this one is the newspaper title. they are aliens whos blood vapors because of the plague in thier place. theyn eed blodo trnasfusion to survive. there is no vampiric in there. they dont even drink the blood, they have to inject it into their blood. if this is vampire than we have a lot of vampires in hospitals with blood trnasfusion machines.

Vampires can be aliens too, watch Buck Rogers, Lifeforce, Planet of the Vampires, Killer Klowns from Outer Space etc. they show vampires can come from space instead of the grave.

These aliens are vampires too.

no thier are not. those aliens are humans who have a disease that vaporises thier blood due to intense radiation caused by wars on their solar system. infact this is known to them as not natural and they are hoping it is possible to cure it.

The only vampiric quality is the energy sucking like you seen in movies like Lifeforce, The keep, Sleepwalkers, Captain Kronos, Def By Temptation etc. as these are actually energy vampires who suck energy instead of blood

Yeah, they didnt seem like vampires to me. Also, what was the point of the slasher scene from 'Hollywood Boulevard' being put in the movie? I still thought this was a fun movie though.
