That was the dumbest way to kill off Freddy

Ok so all you had to do to kill Freddy in this movie was to make him look in the mirror? So just hold up a reflective object and thats all it takes? This movie had the absolute dumbest Freddy death scene of all the sequels. In part 3 it was the perfect way to kill him and it made sense, pouring holy water on his bones and laying him to rest.

But in this movie its like they had no fucking idea how to kill him and just said screw it lets just have a mirror kill him.

My favorite is when Amanda Krueger tells Neil that "the unclean spirit must be laid to rest on consecrated ground". So Neil just grabs a little holy water and a crucifix and proceeds to bury the bones in a garbage dump, thinking that should get the job done.

After burying him, they should've cut to Amanda, and we see her just face palm.

I kinda agree, but the way he was revived was even more stupid. Doggy fire pee? LOL. This movie was entertaining, but the element of horror was long out the window on this one.

Then in Part 5, Freddy's demise was no better. What the hell was that? Alice's unborn dream baby vomits the souls of his victims who pull "baby Freddy out of big Freddy and back into the womb of his long dead mother? Yeah that's scary.

And how many times are they gonna re-use the whole "bring him out of the dream" attempt to defeat him? They tried it in the original (before Nancy just turned her back on him), then again in Freddy's Dead, again in New Nightmare, Freddy v Jason and in the 2010 reboot. Let's try something else. Or just stop altogether.

New Nightmare though isn't even a sequel. It's a completely different world.

The whole mirror thing is because they were going for the Alice in Wonderland vibe you know Alice through the looking glass and all that and it was really stupid. It would be like when Freddy was playing the Wicked Witch of the West if John Doe killed him with a glass of water and the movie ended
