This movie is a 10.

This is probably the third best of the Elm Street series after the original and Dream Warriors.

And it's an awesome movie in general. Lisa Wilcox is one of the best female leads in a horror movie ever and the visuals in this film were mind-blowing. For 1988 the special effects were just amazing.

The low rating on IMDB just proves that IMDB ratings are *beep* brah!

Right. I'd say it is narrowly tied with Dream Warriors as the second best film of the series, although I'd probably give that one a slight edge.

I rate it 9/10, myself. While I dont like the comedic direction this film made the series take, I still enjoyed it a lot (and the soundtrack is superb).

I agree; its my third favorite after part 1 and 3.

I hate this movie for choosing to water down the franchise and sapping every single bit of horror out of the series. Freddy became someone the audience rooted for, crazy considering he is a child molester and murderer.
