Who has seen it!?!?

Please who has seen this and where can I get a hold of this movie for myself. Did asimov watch this? If so I would love to hear what he had to say.

reply

Sorry to say, I just watched it, thinking it was a decent book. Rented it from a FAMILY VIDEO chain. Don't know if that helps or not

I saw it at a local theater when it was originally released. I've regretted doing so from that moment on. It is perhaps the worst movies I have ever seen.

reply

I, too, saw this during it's original release. It's the only movie I've ever walked out on - which tells you that I'll put up with a lot of stink (8mm, for example). Absolutely awful. To the comment wondering Asimov's opinion - he's disavowed it entirely.

reply

I watched it in college, and I felt ripped off. And I didn't even pay for the rental, or contribute gas/car for the trip to go pick it up. Oh, and we found it at Meijer, which no longer rents movies.

reply

I rented it on VHS, and shrugged at it. I didn't think it was very good, but I liked it better than the remake. Still, both films weren't that good.

reply

I have only walked out on two movies. This was one of them. It is atrocious.

So ... may I ask what was the other movie you walked out on?

reply

I found it on VHS for a buck at a thrift store. If you're still looking for it, you can have my copy. But you'll hate me for eternity, because this film is awful.

reply

Yeah, I saw it. Once when I was a kid when it was released on VHS. All I had remembered from the film was the vulture poking the eyes out scene. I then saw it more recently and could barely sit through it. Too bad because the story is great, but the film was just awful.

What does a vulture poking eyes out have to do with the story?

er...don't answer. I probably don't want to know.

Well, I can't really remember. That was the scene that stuck out the most. Particularly when I was a kid.

As I said, good story, terrible movie.

I found it at a video rental shop many years ago. I thought, "Here's a movie of my favorite author's favorite story!"

I couldn't get all the way through it. — And I understand that to 2000 remake is even worse!

I completely agree with all these other people telling you what a horrible movie this is — both in its own right and as a film of Isaac Asimov's story.
