Yeah, I agree with those five. Running On Empty is so great....family stuff, romance, not-meant-to-be-funny moments, happy, sad. Excellent. And My Own Private Idaho is truly a piece of work, it speaks for itself. I Love You To Death, despite River not having the biggest part in it, is HILARIOUS. I LOVE THAT MOVIE. to death haha. When River is in the movie, he's so funny. I remember that part where he goes into the closet with his little stones and he's like "I have to control myself." hahahhaa. Anyway, Dogfight is really great too. Very sweet and can be funny and really sad. The Thing Called Love is interesting. River's appearance opens my eyes up a lot (it's obvious something has been going on) when I see the movie. The supporting cast in that movie is really good: Sandra Bullock and Dermot Mulroney.
Oh wait. You asked about Jimmy Reardon. *slaps self*. Um, for someone who isn't a HUGE River fan, I'd say no. For someone who is, I definitely say yes. I like the movie just fine. It's a really different character that River plays from his others. It's funny and sexy too.
And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.
River's acting's good so if you're a fan it's worth it for that. I think it's spiffy though.
