Searching for a particular version of this movie...

I hate signing up for forums and such but I have been searching for this thing for 12 YEARS! Someone PLEASE know the answer!

Back in the late 1990s my family was stationed in Japan (I don't know if that matters or not) and as I was flipping channels I came across a thrilling/dark-ish version of Alice in Wonderland. I don't remember a whole lot but I do remember she had dark hair and when she escaped Wonderland in the end she headed back to her house. Upon arriving at her house (I think it was trashed) she found her parents were nowhere to be found. It started storming outside, thunder and lightning and all and I think th house went dark. Then I think something attacked her (or at least scared the crap out of her) and it ended with her looking through the looking glass. She may have actually stepped through it and then it ended but you get the point. The ending credits were basically "stay tuned for Alice Through the Looking Glass."

So I did. I stay tuned. For the rest of the day and a whole week later I never changed the channel or turned off the TV. Maybe I missed it at school or something. IDK.

But as I said, 12 years Ive been searching for this awesome version. Anybody know it?

Oh, also, Alice was a real actress but i don't remember how the rest of the charcters were played.
