What a disturbing, odd movie

I just caught it on TV... and I think I'm having nightmares tonight

Kinda slow start to this one. The stop-motion stuff didn't TOTALLY beat the hype on this board. Looks older than it is somehow. As far as Alice in Wonderland, I'd recommend the black and white 1966 one (dir. Jonathan Miller) , with music from Ravi Shankar!

Look at the film, it has to be some sort of crack fantasy gone wrong...while mentally insane. I hear there is some sort of symbolism to this film but to those who aren't familliar with Czech fantasy films, we just try to contemplate what the hell is going on.

In that sense, thats kind of the movie's charm. It is most certainly not for children (I mean come on, tell me I'm wrong!) but it has the distinction that you'll never see another movie like it.

"I have always valued my lifelessness."
