What did you think was the funniest part of the film? Despite the fact it wasn't really trying to be, the movie was hilarious. My favorite part is when they are digging into modern times and see "death" sillhouetted against the moon. Or I am always brought to tears of laughter whenever I even think about the scene during which they are randomly attacked by a submarine in the middle of the river, which ferouciously bumps into them (they drive it away by hitting with their walking sticks).

I think the humour was, at least during the "fish out of water" period of adjustment, intended.

I do like this film very much, but the scene when the fat oaf is trying to cross the road is amusing.

I actually found the Grim Reaper flying past the moon quite a striking and memorable image.
