film subtitle

hi every one
long ago i downloaded divx version of the film
but unfoortunately i couldnt find any subtitle for
can any one help?
where can i find an english subtitle for it?

reply

why would anyone make english subtitles? it's spoken in english.

reply

For the deaf, maybe?

So when it comes to magnitude, remember I.K.B

reply

It's actually spoken in Kiwi/Strine. Maybe the poor sod needs a translation into the North American version of English. A Quentin Tarantino overdub could make a great comedy, especially with a bit of extra splatter added.

reply

Why do you find it so difficult to understand that somebody wants English subtitles? If you know French well enough to write a request for subtitles in French, does that mean you can understand enough French to watch a movie?
Personally, I am generally able to read subtitles in a foreign language long before I feel comfortable watching a movie in that language. A ratther interesting experience to be able to enjoy other foreign movies than those made in the country I am living in before I can enjoy the local stuff.
Some people want an English movie to be an English experience, but need to read subtitles when they miss something.
Who are you to judge what level competence somebody needs in order to watch and enjoy a movie? Do you watch any foreign movies without subtitles?
And yes, there are deaf people out there that do enjoy movies, I hear there are also a few blind people too.

reply

It is highly insulting to laugh at someone for wanting english subtitles. They are on alot of films, for people of other languages, and for people like myself who are deaf.

reply

It's because the New Zealand version of "English" is unintelligible gibberish... ditto for most Brits who aren't members of the peerage or BBC newscasters (or news readers, as you foreign types say.)

reply

Although the cast are New Zealanders, the actors playing the medieval villagers are not speaking New Zealand English - they're putting on northern British accents.

reply

why should anyone help you, who, rather that buying the film, downloaded it.

reply

Yes subtitles here http://www.allsubs.org/subs-download/the-navigator-a-medieval-odyssey-mediaeval/1158359/

Enjoy

reply

They worked perfectly,
Thank you

reply

These are terrible subtitles. Most of the lines are wholly incorrect guesses or things the creator wanted the characters to say, it seems.

reply

Yeah, I agree...

All of the publicly available subtitles for this movie (that I could find) are terrible. They are the third worst subtitles I've seen. Nearly every single sentence isn't even close to what the characters were saying. It's like the subtitles were written by a deaf person reading their lips. I wish I was exaggerating.
