The PIZZA!!!
I've seen this movie at least a dozen times. I'm not going to lie...EVERY SINGLE TIME I see the Fireside Gourmet bite into his slice, my mouth waters for that pizza. It just looks amazing!! What does Leona put in that pizza?!? ?
shareAgreed! And it's not just that scene that makes me want some Mystic Pizza, every time they show pizza in this movie I want some. Maybe some day I'll make it to Connecticut and try the real thing. :)
However, I have to say, after the Fireside Gourmet gave such a bad review to that other restaurant for having to ask three times for a clean fork, it's surprising that he didn't mention he was served a glass of water with someone's teeth in it. Again it must just prove how excellent the pizza really is.
I schlepped all the way to Mystic to try the famous pizza. Good, but not great. Just ordinary chewy crust pizza. Disappointing.

I made a point of getting to Mystic, CT and trying that pizza....and it was GREAT.
Not just the pizza, but the whole experience! Being in Mystic......what a wonderful New England town.
And what was so great about that pie.....was the MYSTIQUE of the pizza. I could almost hear Leona back there making it. :)
If you go (and you should!).....soak in the whole experience. It's....kinda great. Just like that pizza.
