Classic 80's Dreck/Schlock

If you really want the worst of the 80s, with every obnoxious meme in it, you really need to see this movie, like if you are writing a paper on bad movies. The music, hair, special effects, beautiful female humanoid aliens, with ugly male ones. Even the precocious teenager is a real turn off, she is supposed to be cute little white middle class girl, but they tried to work some subplot that she wanted to be like Magic Johnson, the basketball player. Makes you wonder if she wants to have AIDS as well. Her brother, an obnoxious rich playboy wannabee played by Jon Lovitz, is a real loser character, totally unbelievable as nerdy, withdrawn Ackroyd's (main character scientist) brother. The list is endless. it is a comedy, only as a parody of itself
