I had not seen it for a lond time. Does he get killed? Does he be saved? Can anyone help me please?

Spoiler:
It ends with him the other vampires turning the professor into a vampire, the assistant driving off in the van with the cops following and his parents arriving and him introducing the girl friend. Ralph keeps saying unbelievable. Classic 80s. Loved it!
