I just bought the Almodovar Collection Vol.1 released by Optimum and after viewing Women I have a feeling the movie is somewhat too fast and may be missing a scene or two; I saw the film years ago on TV and it seemed slower and certainly more detailed. Does anybody know anything about the Optimum editin? E.g. the Dark habits movie here is only 100 minutes long, but IMDb states that it should be 114 minutes. The 14 lost minutes are surely not a consequence of the video transfer? I´m really pissed off about this. I don´t want to spend my money on mutilated films.

the Optimum box set is a PAL release, so it is 4% faster than normal, as is the case with every movie that is in PAL video format

I've got two different Dark Habits DVDs, and there's obviously some confusion as to the running time of the film, and what is written on the packaging, in each case, however both have the same content. I'm not sure what the deal is, but I wouldn't sweat it. the Optimum set is of superb quality, so be happy

Who cares about stairs? The main thing is ice cream.
