role of women in the films of Almodovar

I love Almodovar's films soooo much so when I was asked to do coursework for my A level I choose to answer the question of the role of women in Pedro's films,[Por que es tan importante el papel de la mujer en las peliculas de Almodovar?] especially referring to Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios and Volver. I have found that in many of Almodovar's films he is very much interested and focused on the feelings of women as most of his main characters seem to be women. Does anyone have any opinions/information/useful websites on this? It would be alot of help thanks!!!!!!
