Weather-Calendar Plot Hole....

We see the bright Sunny weather all around in 'Moving'. It's Sunny, Summertime weather in New Jersey, it's Summertime weather in Boise Idaho. The twins are even running in a track meet, and track is a late Spring/early Summer sport in colder areas. And all of this is fine.

The problem arises when the criminal movers say they are going to Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Mardi Gras happens in February and sometimes March, so... This places the events of 'Moving' in January or Feburary(give or take a few weeks). Either way it should be WINTERTIME, and VERY cold temperatures in places like New Jersey and Boise. But no, we have nice sunny weather, and even a sparkling pool shot in Boise.

Just saying...

There was also a geography goof... you have to look pretty closely for it, but it's there:

As Arlo (Richard Pryor) pursues the moving van, then scales it with the ladder, several times in the background you can briefly see various Southern California palm trees. The action is supposed to take place in Boise, Idaho, and you would not see those tall, S. California-style palm trees in Boise. So obviously they used a street somewhere around L.A. to double for Boise. It's not a real obvious goof - you have to really look for it - but it's there.

For one, I think it's a stretch to assume that the movers are right about it being Mardi Gras. We see no evidence of that. The only time we see them in New Orleans, they seem to be hanging out in a brothel. They might just associate Mardi Gras with New Orleans in general, not really know when it is, just want to go to New Orleans, etc.
