Did anyone else want to get a pet monkey after seeing this?

I did. I know monkeys are difficult and expensive pet to own, especially the males, but having a monkey would be so cool. I liked the part where Ella danced to the jazz music and the part where she turned off all the lights and made Adam go to sleep.

Yeah that movie, aside from the killing parts lol, made having a monkey look like a lot more fun than it is in real life. There's a reason why people never took up for the most part having one as a pet. Am I right to say that you've never met anyone with one, and probably never will?

you do realize those were just tricks the movie acting monkey was taught & forced to do for the film, right? that a monkey, in real life, wouldn't do those things?

monkeys and apes are not meant to be pets, and usually end badly for the owner, and worse for the animal

You're probably right. Real monkeys don't behave like Ella or the monkey in the Raiders of the Lost Ark--the one who worked with bad guys and did a Nazi salute.
