Fled ripped off midnight run???

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this or not, but the movie Fled (terrible movie) totally ripped off a lot of the story elements from this movie. In Fled, and ex-cop (Lawrence Fishburne) has a white collar criminal in his custody that the Feds want. The criminal (Stephen Baldwin), has stolen a large amount of money from the mob, which he gave away to charity. The criminal has incriminating evidence about the mob on disks, which they desperately want back. the ex-cop ends up turning him loose in the end.

I can't believe no one else has mentioned this, probably because most people were smart enough not to watch "fled", but I don't know how they could be any more blatant in ripping this movie off.
