The smoke count!

Another user (Jurado-78605) wrote something on the lines of "Most cigarettes smoked in a movie, I couldn't keep track"...and I figured what the hell, I'll keep track!

There aren't as many cigarettes as one would imagine watching it. Because there really seem to be wall to wall smoking in this.

All in all there are only 43 cigarettes smoked in this film.
Most of them by Jack Walsh, who smokes 25 cigarettes during the course of the film.

Marvin takes second place, smoking eight cigarettes.

Jerry (that two-faced bastard) is in third place with four cigarettes.

Alonzo only lights up twice (both times to look cool while dominating Marvin, blowing smoke in his face and stealing the rest of his cigarettes).

By pausing at the right moment I managed to catch Joey (the goat skin jacket fetischist) smoking a single cigarette.

A further three cigarettes are smoked by random people throughout the move (old man at Red's Corner Bar, man sharing counter with Alonzo at diner, one of Serranos goons at the airport).

Ok, so maybe 43 cigarettes ain't nothing. It is after all an average of one cigarette every third minute. But I gotta say, I was a bit disappointed when the movie was over, and I saw that it was ONLY 43!
