Sean Connery

Sean Connery's cameo as himself was very interesting, but I think they used an extra when he attends the burial. Can anyone confirm this?

Sorry to get back with you so late, but I just watched this movie for the first time.

I didn't notice Sean at all during the scene you mentioned.

Better later than never! It's been more than a year since I've seen this, so my memory isn't perfect, but I remember that Sean Connery has a few lines as himself early in the film, then it's supposed to be him at the funeral, but it looks like a stand-in. You didn't notice him at the funeral? I suspect they couldn't get Sean, so they found someone of similar stature.

I noticed the man in uniform approaching the gravesite, but actually thought that it was an just some extra from another film, and not Connery. I was actually hoping that there would be a closeup of Connery with Crystal.

Yes, I was looking for a closeup of Connery as well. His presence there kind of distracts from that scene because my eyes were drawn to him. I agree that it's probably an extra, especially because the camera seemed to intentionally avoid getting too close to him.

Sean Connery, in a dark-colored military uniform, does have a cameo role in which he greets Abe Polin (Alan King) on the lot of the movie studio. Whether it is Connery at the funeral scene I do not know. In the credits, it says, "Sean Connery . . . .Himself."

I noticed that earlier scene with Sean Connery. I have the feeling it's not him at the funeral because they seem to intentionally blur the image.
