A forgotten gem!
I dare say this is one of Von Triers most visual stunning film and sadly also a film most dont know about.
It surely have some of the best images in his catalog.
hardly a gem. he himself disliked it so much he claims, truly or not, to have sabotaged it during editing (see Treir on von Treir)

shareYes, I just hate his opinions on his movies. His problem with this film was that it was "too glossy" in the images for his taste. He had the same problem with parts of Antichrist and Melancholia. For the moviegoer it's an irrelevant concern, but he seems to hate "prettiness".
