Bruce Campbell's screen time?

How much screen time does Bruce Campbell have in this? I thought I read that he was the hero, but I noticed that he does not get top billing.

reply

there are large gaps of no Campbell.....it's kinda disapointing in that regard

reply

I love BC, but in this one Tom Atkins really steals the show. Still a really good/fun movie. Worth seeing for anyone who likes the kind of movies Bruce Campbell frequents.

reply

He is the hero hes not in it for the first 20 mins but hes in it pretty consistently after that.

reply

Bruce isn't a HERO. He's an effing wife cheater!

I own you.

He's a cheater AND he's the hero. Cheating's got nothing to do with it. Clint Eastwood's played a hoodlum in many a film, and still been the hero.

reply

Bruce is the hero though, he's awesome, as always.

reply

He has a good bit of time in this since he's one of the leads along with Tom Atkins & Laurene Landon.

He doesn't kick a lot of ass in this like in the Evil Dead films but he's still great in Maniac Cop.

He becomes the lead the second half whereas Tom Atkins is the lead the first half.

It IS a spoiler because it reveals parts of the story outside of actually watching the story itself. Spoiler doesn't refer to the end of the movie only. BC dying in the movie may or may not be common knowledge, but details such as the manner of his death, and when it happened in the movie, that's really spoiling things.

Just because you don't mind it, doesn't mean others don't.

If it's tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

reply

He was intended to star in the movie, but some funder or producer basically said no. A shame really, because Bruce was probably the best actor in the entire movie

reply

People kill me with these spoiler warnings. Don't come to message boards discussing the film if you haven't watched it. It's stupid and you only have yourself to blame if something is spoiled.

Not enough!

Kramer: ...he was very impressed with what I do.
Elaine: What you do? You don't do anything!

reply

Looks like his career was beginning to take off. I think this is the first movie that I have seen where the central character gets killed 3/4 through it. Good movie and hope to see 2 one of these days.

Bruce also produced the series so if you like gore along the lines of early Sam Raimi movies (the Evil Dead franchise) or Peter Jackson movies (Braindead, Bad Taste), then you will like it.
