I just saw it on the THIS channel tonight. But I was so bored w/ it I played the Wii U on a TV next 2 it. I did learn about the Centralia mine fire on "Life After People." & the San Onofre power plant is off-line & outta business. I think there's ongoing discussion about demolishing it or something.
shareI saw it on "This" as well. Good channel with good 80s/90s movies you really can't find anywhere else.
They haven't shown it in a yr or 2 but I do remember catching this late one night. Really enjoyed it. Never knew Chris Penn was ever so skinny though....
I posted about this on his board. There was a two year gap between filmimg 'Made in USA' and 'Return From The River Kwai' and his weight had gone up in the later.
Something happened.
Then I saw a review on here for 'Made in USA' from a person who had worked on the production.
They mentioned the leather jacket Chris wore in the film had belonged to a friend who had died in his arms. The jacket was stolen on set which explains the costume change when they hit the road.
As to the death of a friend, along with not working, being the or part of the reason for his weight gain I suppose is only speculation.
I still miss his presence on screen even now. He was a great actor.
