As far as I'm aware, this movie was shown once on UK television in the 90s but not since.
Which is a shame because I remember Rutger Hauer putting in a brilliant performance.
Can anyone else confirm/deny this movie being shown so rarely?
Absolutely - I remember seeing it on Uk tv then - and I have spent until now trying to find it again! I think the reason it isn't shown is because it's a thoughtful film that requires that the watcher not just sit and be entertained - the watcher needs to be patient and think about it - the same could be said for his other really great film Simon Magus. Television is dumbing down nowadays and mainly caters for people who want constant action.
