Lair of the White Worm: Chapter X

There is a sentence in the book describing Lady Arabella March that could apply to Lady Sylvia Marsh in the film. "Lady Arabella's cold nature rendered her immune to anything in the way of pain or trouble concerning others."

What separates the two characters, that while Lady Arabella may have a cold nature and be immune to pain or trouble in others, she has yet, to take any delight in said pain or trouble. Not so Lady Sylvia. Boy scouts in uniform thunmbing a ride in the rain (Kevin), female virgins (Eve), Scotsmen in kilts (Angus), and little furry animals (the mongoose), she delights in causing them all sorts of pains and/or troubles.
