it starts in Indonesia

then stock footage of NY and some anglo actors and, I guess,Indonesian actors who link kinda American on Screen (MULLET!)

then back to Indonesia

and at the end the cops NY friends have travelled to die at his side?

I thought Indonesia, with some Americans who have moved there and/or are visiting.

The scenes set in NYC were flashbacks I thought. It takes place in Jakarta (I'm guessing) most of the time.
