The hanging scene....

I can't help thinking that the hanging is a pretty long drawn out affair which smacks of being cruel and inhumane.

Many may not know that before hanging was abolished in the UK the vast majority were perform by one person, Albert Pierrepoint who took pride in the efficiency of carrying out the sentence and his humanity to the victims in their final seconds.
