I would say it was his sense of inadequacy at the early liftoff, the realization that he was very much a child compared with Magda (at least in his eyes), and more than anything, the thought that perhaps he had destroyed a fantasy by meeting her and identifying himself.

he slit his wrists because his ideals about love had been smashed and corrupted. Very slyly, Magda used her body to show Tomek that love is but a sexual feeling.
And Tomek having been made subject to his own sexual desires despite himself, was coerced into thinking that love is but an orgasm. And that he had been a fool for thinking otherwise!
She basically succeeded to reassert her own sufferings and thoughts about love.
And the beauty is that both of their models were flawed.
