Good old fun, but the parastie creature was a bit gross

I remember liking this when I watched it at age 9, and being attracted to Joanna and liking the suspense. The creature that is passed on was a bit gross though, and even grossed me out when I viewed it recently at age 24. Maybe it's me, but I hate creature parasites or demonic worms etc in movies, as it makes the movie less enjoyable for me. Other examples are Poltergeist 2(Great makeup and costume though!), Jason Goes To Hell, The Hidden, Parasite, Star Trek 2 etc. There have been many other disgusting creatures in movies that haven't bothered me, but the ones in these movies did. YUCK :)Loved the escalator and car accident scene!
