Marginally arresting

I found this on VHS under the title "Midnight Cop" for 75 cents, which is about what it was worth. The performances are adequate, the atmosphere is dreary and the pacing is choppy. Armin Mueller-Stahl did a decent job considering the material, Morgan Fairchild is luridly appealing, and Frank Stallone's character is actually a highlight. I wasn't bored, but I wasn't overly interested either. 5/10 stars from me.
