This movie was scary!

The devil in this movie is scary looking. Very evil and wicked appearance. The whole premise of the movie is spooky! Cesar Romero ("The Joker" from the Batman tv series) plays one of his last roles before his death in 1994. It's a disturbing movie. Go check it out!

Some movies are just unknown to a lot of people, and so, they are unavailable. Sad. I am sure the torrents have this movie. I never go on them, though. I don't need malware.

This movie isn't "lost" by any means, it was just only released on VHS video tapes back in the days and is hard to find now.

USA NTSC VHS tape was released as "Judgment Day" (there's one on ebay as of this writing but it's admittedly very pricey).

There also exists a german-dubbed VHS with pretty good quality under the title "The Third Hand/Nacht der Teufel" which can be bought from ebay.de (ebay Germany) frequently.

I found this movie to be pretty amazing actually, all I heard of it was very bad reviews, so I was surprised to find a very decent picture with scary mood and atmosphere galore. It was filmed (and takes place) in the Philippines (NOT in Mexico, as many seem to believe!) and is well worth watching.

I recommend keeping an eye on ebay for a decent VHS copy.

A film becomes "lost" when it's original film elements (negatives, 35mm prints, etc.) are detoriated or destroyed, while there exist no other copies (TV prints, VHS, LD, DVD, whatever).
It is in danger of becoming "lost" if preservation of such materials by the rights holders (or a film archive) is not assured.

I have no information on the status of this film's original film elements (I doubt you do, unless you were involved in the production or otherwise associated with it), but this film was always out there on home video, it even was released in various different countries.
So it was and is far from being "lost". Not being downloadable is not an indicator for a movie being "lost". Downloads and torrents are reasons for films not being released in regular versions (DVD) anymore and therefore should be prohibited entirely, but that's another story.

You are a complete moron who deserves to be executed 'Russian style'

It's exactly like the previous poster said. It's not lost, it never was. Just because you are lazy ass and don't move outside your torrent sites and netflix, doesn't mean movie is lost. If you can buy it legally, It's there and this movie might be rare but there are original vhs copies to be found.

As for piracy being awesome, you are such a r-e-t-a-r-d It's hardly possible that you can write on your own. There are distributors interested in releasing movies like this but if something was already pirated worldwide, they are afraid to do it because they will most likely loose their money. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that.

What I want to know is, what gives the above poster the idea that DVDs are obsolete. Companies ARE putting old movies on DVD everyday. Video stores are obsolete thanks to online streaming and amazon.

I think one of the main points is, that in a time where we have access to almost any media we want it's a shame that this cult flick is soooo hard to find. I would gladly pay for it if I could buy it somewhere.

Through the mouth of madness...........
