Because I like a movie I am a moron. You obviously don't know much about how intelligence is determined. You can say I have bad taste but my intelligence isn't the issue. If you hate the movie so much what are you doing on the boards. If you were smart you would stay away from things that you don't like but I guess you aren't smart enough to know that!

Some movies are so bad they're fun to watch.

Others are just bad. Stupid bad.

This is just such a film.

And before you ask, the only reason I pay any attention to this film is because my Mother was in it.

Tupperware lady #1. Yellow dress at the coach's house when the guys were messing with him.

Even she agrees the film sucks.

I joined the Navy to see the world, only to discover the world is 2/3 water!

Right! Every movie isn't an Oscar winner, but I like a lot of movies that aren't worthy of popular opinion. Johnny Be Good is a classic to me. An all star cast, entertaining, funny, a good "moral" lesson, lol...how is this NOT a likeable movie? TOTAL guilty pleasure!

Right! Every movie isn't an Oscar winner, but I like a lot of movies that aren't worthy of popular opinion. Johnny Be Good is a classic to me. An all star cast, entertaining, funny, lots of cameos, an ending credit remake of Johnny Be Good by Judas Priest, a good "moral" lesson, lol...how is this NOT a likeable movie? TOTAL guilty pleasure!

I totally agree and do not understand why the rating is so low, but you know how people are they are very picky in what they like and do not like at all.

The problem also might be is that cable TV no longer shows movies like this on anymore like they once did back in the early 90's. All that they want to show are the newer movies and the classics forget it no network wants to show them for some reason I do not know why.

THIStv(a nationwide free movie channel - broadcast on 11.3 WPIX in the NYC area) tends to air a lot of 70s/80s schlock like this. Just the other night they played Johnny Be Good, Return of the Living Dead, followed by a Bert I. Gordon B-movie(Empire of the Ants probably...not sure as I fell asleep just before it started). They don't seem to ever play anything remotely new(nothing from 2000s)
