Kevin?

In the film they keep calling him in Kevin (in the english dub anyway) and I'm sure he wasnt called that in the first.

In the original version of Police Story, he went by the name of 'Kevin' but when the English dubbing came in place, they changed it from 'Kevin' to 'Jackie'. I think it was only New Line Cinema's dubbing version (I forget if the other version I watched had the characters calling him Jackie), and later on they also changed Police Story 4 to 'Jackie Chan's First Strike'. All part of the whole Jackie Chan franchise I suppose.

Never watched (or found) New Line Cinemas Police Story 2 (watched the Dragon Dynasty version), and if they have the characters call Jackie "Kevin", then I don't know what to say but if you look at the original versions and the whole storyline, Jackie's characters are definitely the same in the end. I know in Police Story 3 (Supercop), they left the name Kevin in, but I think it was Dimension Films that did the dubbing for that one.

I watched the new line cinema version of police story 1&2 having to call them Jackie but i saw when the woman who works in the airport (police story 2 scene) says to another woman saying call Jackie Chan, and really, I said what the *beep* is with new line to mess up with characters names, but I'm guessing in the U.S they abandoned the Kevin chan name that it would be in any dubbed version of police story. I like the new line cinema dubs better in my own opinion, but I prefer the Original Cantonese Audio. But the Fortune Star Media Dubs were in the Shout Factory & Dragon Dynasty editions *beep* SUCKS. But why the *beep* that new line cinema not release their own music soundtrack CD for Mr. Nice Guy, Police Story 1&2, but they already released Rumble In The Bronx/First Strike. But that's all I have to say about the new line cinema version.
