Underrated

I totally agree it is underrated. Pretty good acting by great actors. I think the turn off in general is the plot about going to get a car before getting married and possibly the goofy dream scenes. I just watched it on Netflix instant play after missing it for many years. I like how they show the simple country life slowly as it should be enjoyed yet show the traffic in the big city time lapsed indicating the fast paced life. Carter Burwell does his usual great job with the music fitting each scene. I recognized George Newbern immediately in "Father of the Bride" as the groom from "It Takes Two". Bill Bolender gets much more exposure in this movie than in Shawshank Redemption as Elmo Blatch. Barry Corbin does a pretty good job in his usual role too. Leslie Hope has some adorable underrated scenes as well. I am glad it came on Netflix instant play. Now I can watch it anytime I want.
