Researching excessive cinema

Hi guys, I'm a PhD researcher looking at films that present aggressive and violent images including torture and sexual violence. I am not restricted by genre or nationality and am currntly scouring the internet for any I may have missed.

If any of you have any suggestions for me, even if it seems to be obvious to you it still may be a film I have looked over! It would be much appreciated. My email is [email protected] or you can contact me on here.

Many thanks

Laura.

Hi Laura,

Corpus_vile comes up with some great titles, some of which I've not seen yet.

I'll just mention 3 of the worst (in terms of aggressive/violent images):

Senseless
Penance
Subconscious Cruelty (that one was ridiculous!)

Some recent ones I've watched that I found quite nasty violent were

Hills Have Eyes 2 (2007)
Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings
End of The Line (GREAT movie, too - actually scary - something the mega gross movies are often lacking)

And very haunting images in:

Martyrs (also a great movie, which I'd seen a while back)
