Hairspray with a boy?

That's what it sounds like to me: it's even got Ricki Lake in it!

Here's a word you'll see most IMDB users don't know about, no offense: Opinion.

Why is Ricki uncredited in this film? Were her scenes cut?

reply

no, she's the large lady dancing with the bus driver during the song "do i do" dance scene.

reply

That wasn't her.

Charlie Murphy!! *punch*
- Dave Chappelle as Rick James

Not only is that NOT Ricki Lake.....but Hairspray deals with racism, which The In crowd does not. Duh. OP is not very bright.

I pulled out my copy today and was reading this board and the credits again. Apparently ,'Illdoitsoon' was right and you were wrong. Ricki Lake is in the film and is credited here on IMDB.

I thought that too. Ironically, both movies came out the exact same year. In Crowd took place in 1965, and there were black people in the audience, so it appears that during the In Crowd, the dance shows had already been integrated.
