That HIPPIE...Who Was That Hippie On John's Property? I NEED TO KNOW!!!

Hello,

I'd love to know his name and know how his life turned out, how can we find out his name; he was an American apparantly, crossed the ocean I assume to be close to his musical hero John Lennon.........Can you imagine when he saw this movie?

And one of the most handsome hippies I've ever seen; GOD BLESS THAT HIPPIE; I want to know ALL about this guy. WOW.

My God,

I was also wondering what happened to that guy. He seemed strung out on acid back then so where he is now is prbably anyone's guess. Probably the head of a fortune 500 company.

reply

At least he got to do what a lot of people would have given anything to, which is have a meal with John Lennon.

reply

He was so sad and lost.

That's what struck me.

It may have been drugs, but I think he was just really searching for something.

Even when eating at Lennon's table, he just looked so very sad.

And yes, he was very handsome.

A handsome lost little boy.

I hope he turned out ok.

Hate to say it, but I bet he didn't live until Lennon's death, or much after. With all the videos and books about John Lennon, don't you think he would have come out and said, "Hey I was the hippie that John Lennon let in for breakfast!" He was a handsome dude, and very sad.

reply

I thought it was soooo nice of John to give the guy a meal. It shows that John had true class, and was a nice host to his fans.

I agree that the blue eyed hippie probably isn't with us anymore, otherwise, I think he would have shown up and admitted his identity.

to OP: Hey Randy. I'm from the East County. I lived in Santee for a few years, but mostly Lakeside, El Cabong, and in the mountains near Pine Valley.

I moved away 10 years ago. I miss it. Salute El Cap mtn for me!

Peace, man!

OH, my gosh, I used to live in Guatay, too. My best friend STILL lives in Guatay.

P.s....just read another post you wrote, saying you live in Lakeside. I grew up there in Lakeside, on Rattlesnake Mtn., not too far from where the Star lives every Christmas.

Small world! It's bizarre to find a person on here who lived in the same places I lived!

Cheers!

THAT "HIPPIE'S" FATE IS NOW KNOWN........HERE YOU GO......THIS IS ALL I CAN DISCLOSE FOR PRIVACY REASONS.......IT TOOK SOME TIME BUT HERE IS THE INFORMATION ON WHO THAT "HIPPIE" WAS IN THE JOHN LENNON: IMAGINE FILM (1988)...AND WHAT BECAME OF THIS VERY SPECIAL PERSON......HERE IS WHAT I CAN TELL YOU....

"The young "Hippie-Looking" man in the film died in an aircraft accident in 1980 (Possibly 1981). He wasn't really a Hippie, but had been caught up in the youth culture of the 1960's. He had traveled to England with the primary intention of talking to The Beatles to learn how their music personally related to him. He had a brilliant mind, was university educated, and was a gifted musician. (And the IRONY that he died around the same time John Lennon Died Is NOT LOST)"

THIS IS THE ONLY INFORMATION THAT I'M ABLE TO POST ABOUT HIM....BEYOND THAT IT'S PRIVATE.....MYSTERY SOLVED......GOD BLESS THAT "HIPPIE"!!!....

Long Live Love,

Wow. Thanks, Randy. That is really sad that he died, but really creepy it was around the same time as John Lennon.

Just watched (and TiVo'd) the movie last night. I think that is still my favorite scene, followed by my favorite song, "Jealous Guy."

Sure nice of John to let the hippy in for a meal. Good thing he didn't have a gun. Oh wait. I guess that would have to wait another 10 years. :(

This peice of footage originally came from Gimme Some Truth: The Making of John Lennon's Imagine... Now THATS a great documentary that was released at the time of the albums original release. Its available on DVD with some excellent extras.
