A great performance by Mickey Rourke in an underrated gem of a film. I love it and it grows better upon a second viewing. It's a shame that Rourke's career got so totally side tracked he was one of the greatest actor / performers of the 80's.

i worked out with mickey when he trained for this movie @ 108 st gym in los angeles when i was 14 he would come to the gym everyday on his yellow chopper bill slayton who was in the film was also his trainer as well mickey was not a hollywood guy he was so down to earth and he trained hard because he wanted to be a pro fighter he is such a nice guy i think he just got dragged into the hollywood crowed i hope he can get his life back hollywood can be a cruel place in brings you in and throws you out on your head
