Id like to see Original Version

Neil Jordan the director states that his vision and version of this film has never been seen, and he was locked out of the editing suite during post-production of the film.
Id love to see his version so to compare. Apparently his was more comedy and the producers wanted to make it scary??
And will this film ever get a U.K DVD release in any version????? PLEASE!!!!

Unfortunately, I no longer think it's going to happen, especially since Shout Factory's Blu-Ray of the film will be the same as the previous DVD. :(

On IMDB, it is said Neil Jordan's original version was more serious.

Would love to see Jordan's version! I even enjoy the studio release, but I know Neil's would be better. Even in that one, O'Toole is hilarious.

However, if Jordan's cut were going to be "more serious," why the hell is comic-hack Steve Guttenberg in the thing? I don't buy what IMDb claimed. It defies the test of good sense. It's tantamount to casting Adam Sandler as Hamlet; so, no, not buyin' it.
